thankful

i was thinking of something when i walked to uni this afternoon.

was thinking of what i shall be thankful for this year. here's my list:

thankful for old friends who have left oz
thankful for the new friends i met this year
thankful for the more friends i am going to meet next year
thankful for the friends who are leaving, i surely will miss them loads

thankful for all the assignments that are completed, not by my might but with His miracles.
thankful for the relax semester i have now
thankful for the not too good but not too bad result i achieve
thankful for the church i attend
thankful for all the help i get from friends in completing all the assignments
thankful for my family =)
thankful for my lovely housemates

sometimes we should stop and remind ourselves how blessed we are =)
be thankful and then we won't complain much!

going home SOONz! =)

The Time Traveler's Wife

i have finally finished reading the book. i <3 it. i won't say it's the best book i've read but it's still good! touching!

imagining myself as a time traveler's wife. no, i rather being a wife a of normal person with normal genes. but then again, getting to know the fated one from the age of 6 is so good!

i can't wait for the movie now, all because Eric Bana is acting as Henry! oh gonna love it love it lots! watched the trailer on youtube, i guess it's out in US in August but checked the southbank cinema and only to find out that the movie is out on 2nd Nov! i can't wait that long!!!!

ok rest a while, get my emotion back to normal and then start my reading up for assignment. pdp!!! gahhhhh hate it!!!

am very very happy to be reading the Time Traveler's Wife. though at a super slow speed, still enjoying it to the max, it's soo nice! imagining Eric Bana in the character, omg his enchanting captivating eyes! i'm melting...... =P can't wait to finish the book the watch the movie!

well, i had fun today. everything is GOOD, from a fun all girls hair cut outing (all 4 of us got hair straightening temporarily), laksa for lunch, grocery shopping at Yuen's and the crapping and waiting for Riverfire with all gang of singaporeans, and most importantly the awesome 25 minutes fireworks at the river! i finally saw the smiley faces on the sky!! oh and the cold rocks ice cream and girls hanging out after that =) love you girls!

elisa finally got her YMCA shot (with distractions from the fake supermen flying low, haha)!

loving the time spent with friends. sometimes i feel it's not about the atmosphere, not about the food, not about the venue, it's ALL about the company you have. the precious time spent with close friends and friends who are leaving. oh my gosh, time flies like rocket!!!! ok maybe even faster than rocket! i am growing older and friends are leaving SOON! urgh hate the thought of that!!! =(

p/s: elisa kept repeating the same thing tonight, saying 'there are SO MANY young ppl tonight!'
haha elisa, you are not THAT old! hahaha

i don't feel like doing anything! well, that's nothing new for me. gah but it feels different tonight! haha dunno why. maybe cos i just finished one assignment and don't feel like starting another so soon even though i know i must start! at least with some background readings first.

i wanna watch movie! ish ish so bored at home.........................

man i am still awake at this time. hahahahaha

so 090909 is over, what's next? 100909 will also be just another day. oh no, its my report due date! well, i'm done. another assignment due on 110909. oh that's another friend's birthday!

ok despite assignment due so soon, i am still so slack. i chatted with one of my best friends in sec sch, jul. she's so funny. we talked bout getting ready to be 单身贵族 in future, talked bout food, plans to travel together.... and then we found something similar, both our ex's found new gf. haha. when she finally had to go and prepare food, she said how she wish i am a guy cos she enjoys talking to me. gosh. this jul is super funny.

oh maybe today is not just another day for some of us. definitely not for edwin tan yew san! haha its his birthday!!!!

okay actually i forgot, or rather i didn't know since i never celebrated for him. got reminded from facebook. how useful facebook is despite how much it makes you procrastinate huh? just loving fb! hahahaha

i didn't realised it's 090909 today. just got reminded when i saw someone's fb status saying: 090909 is just another day. yeah, nothing special happened today except the fact that i need to write report and finish up my assignment before this week ends. gah i hate it! no motivation at all now.

090909, so many nines. it's just numbers anyway. oh maybe there will be a lot of couples getting married today. who knows. haha! special day for special occasion to be remembered for your lifetime.

was looking at my siblings' fb walls and i realised i haven't been home for almost 2 years!! 17 months!! i haven't seen my parents and sis and bro for 17 months!! that's very long. miss them already =( it's always like you don't appreciate your loved ones when they are around or when you see them almost everyday. you only miss and cherish them when they are away. i miss pa and ma.

oh yes, my sis is getting married next year. i forced my sister to make the wedding at the end of the year cos i wanna be there! and i will be her maid of honor! i am so excited when she called few nights ago to tell me the great news that my dad has finally allowed them to be registered. that is end of this year when *ahem* (of course) i am back in msia. i am super uper important k??! i can't imagine my sis is getting married. well yes, she will eventually, one day. imagine her getting married and don't know where is she gonna stay by then. she'll have her own family. i cannot sleep with her anymore. i love cuddling my sis when i sleep and she always, always hate me doing that. owh how i miss her.....bi bi i miss you!! oh i wanna get you a present! for you and my future bro in law. wakakakakaka.....

kel and jul are meeting in paris in a few weeks' time!! how i wish i am there too! oh best thing is all six of us are there! i miss you girls too!!!

like elisa said, i also have mood swings in uni work. mine is constantly low when it comes to uni work. i am getting very very lazy and tired....

done with mid sem today. i knew it would be specific but didn't expect it to be so specific that tests everything the lecturer said in lectures. for someone who can't stay awake in afternoon lectures like me, this is a torture! so unfair!

anyway, done with it and now gotta continue other assignments...

so, let's be Ms/Mr/Mrs Encouragement starting from today! "thank you", "well done", "you've done an awesome job" are just a few words that can be easily spilled out of our mouth and the amazing thing is it doesn't take much of our energy to say it to people around us but it makes them feel appreciated and cheered on.

am amazed how people are connected, how small the world is, how God's timing works, how God brings the angels and friends to my life. loving the times i get to spend with my friends here. starting to know why i am here. i may not be up for great things like missionary but i am playing part in others' life transformation. am so glad at the thought of it =)

am amazed thinking how God put my name 'Jessica' in the mind of my parents when i was born. it is such a common name but yet special, seeing so many parents in the world name their child Jessica. such lovely name i have=)

enjoyed today's picnic. it was fun despite not getting to really talk to everyone. mel is so funny with her being OCD, never thought anyone would be soooo obsessed with the arrangement of fish sticks! besides, matt being the 'manly' guy who claims to be soft inside, is really smart. he used luggage to transport the 21L of drinks from home to guyatt park. good job, matt matt! oh i met new girl today, ziyan, a very lovely girl!!!

am thankful for the weather and all the people who prepared food and drinks. God loves all of us and He blesses us every single moment in our lives!

blessed by the birds again today. urgh! reckon the creatures just <3 me too much!

am hoping to finish my work. stop procrastinating....

i just bought a bottle of apple cider vinegar from coles today. i thought its cheap and i remembered my dad used to drink a lot of those years ago. so i bought one to try and who knows, it might bring some magical effects on my weight! haha.

i tried with a huge tablespoon of honey just now and gosh, the smell nearly killed me, not to say the taste of it! i had to add orange juice to nullify the sour taste. yucks! then i told my dad bout it and he said apple cider vinegar makes you gain weight! urgh!!!

so then, i googled bout its health benefits. actually the one i bought from supermarket which is the clear sparkling type is of no health benefits!! cos the manufacturer already filtered it and there goes all the nutrients... should buy organic unfiltered ones which is not clear solution and seems to have brown tinge in it. that is the one that will help losing weight. sigh i bought the wrong one. apparently, the organic unfiltered ones are good for reducing bad cholesterol and helps with constipation!

little did i know about the health benefits of apple cider vinegar. haha! dad introduced something else called lecithin. no idea what's that. haha

i am so super happy to have taufu fa as supper tonight!! hahaha am so full now =P supper at 11pm is not good... but who cares, my tummy feels good. as long as my tummy is happy, i am happy too! no wonder people always say sweet stuffs make girls happy.

oh thanks monica for the supper! haha just now i was typing thanks monica on my fb status then the video in my computer was playing Leslie Cheung's song called Monica. and the lyrics goes 'thanks thanks monica'...hahahaha....
